LOTU BEACH

Lotu Beach

The beach is located in the Agriates desert, next to Saint-Florent. It is accessible either by the customs path from Saint-Florent, or by boat, from the town’s port, with different boat companies which make trips every day during the summer period.

Some offer you a food and drink service on board, so you can make the most of the moment.

The other solution is to arrive by car to the village of Casta (D 81): you must leave your car at the start of the track, located 3.5 km from the hamlet.

Several 4×4 shuttles then take you to this track which then branches off to reach Lotu beach on the right and Saleccia beach on the left.

To reach these two beaches on foot, it then takes 40 minutes.

From the campsites, you will also have several possibilities for 4×4 tours to discover the Agriates desert and its sublime beaches.

You have to spend the whole day there, combining at least the two beaches of Lotu and Saleccia. For example, you will find worry-free complete circuits from Saint-Florent to Saleccia beach (1H15 in 4X4), free time on each beach, a stroll along the seaside to reach on foot the two magical beaches of Saleccia and Lotu via the customs path (1 hour), for a return this time by boat to Saint-Florent from Lotu: a 4×4 / boat combination must to do!

The bravest can come on foot from Saint-Florent, it’s a 4-hour walk. But with the possibility also of a return by boat which then takes 20 minutes (count around 12 euros).

Succumb to the magical charm of this pretty fine sand beach with turquoise waters

With behind the beach a magnificent lagoon hemmed by reeds and in the distance the majestic contours of the Cap Corse mountains. The soft sand is so fine that it looks like an exotic island, which is not belied by the marvelous shades of blue on the sea, which are almost reminiscent of coral beds. It is an authentic beach, without construction or straw huts. Admiring this magical postcard setting, you will feel like you have hit the jackpot… and that is not completely wrong, since its inhabitants also call Lotu Beach Plage du Loto !
