Helichrysum comes from the Greek “Helios”, sun, and “chrysos”, gold, because its flowers look like small gold-colored suns which do not fade. It is present almost everywhere around the Mediterranean and in Corsica, from the seaside to the interior.

Its bushes are modest in size, approximately 50 cm high, with yellow flowers at the top. Its smell is imparted to the territories in which it grows, which gives it a particularly marked identity.

Used in various internal and external forms, immortelle has many virtues, first and foremost a recognized effectiveness for treating hematomas. Immortelle is also known for its healing and antispasmodic properties.
