You can enjoy the view of snow-capped peaks in the distance in winter, with the blue sea and Cap Corse in the background. Breathtaking scenery matched with pristine white sand beaches. Among the most beautiful beaches in Corsica, 2 are located in this region; Lotu beach and Saleccia beach. Stretches of fine sand with turquoise water, which makes the Desert of Agriates one of the most beautiful places in Corsica.

How to go and get around in the Agriates desert ?

If there are among the most beautiful beaches on the island, incredible views and preserved Corsican scrub, the Desert of Agriates will reveal its most secret treasures to you in different ways: on foot, by bike, by 4×4, by boat.

However, the easiest way to get to this region remains by boat, with regular departures aboard small shuttles from Saint-Florent. You will also have the possibility of going to the Agriates desert in 4×4 for a more sporty excursion.

The Agriates Desert on hikes

Hiking enthusiasts can also discover the Agriates Desert on foot via Corsican hiking trails. The best known is the Littorial Path which goes from Saint Florent to Ostriconi and passes through Saleccia but this requires a certain level and good physical condition; reaching the beaches of Lotu and Saleccia from Saint-Florent will take you 5h30.
